AI and finance
I build AI that stands up to financial scrutiny.
Investment analyst who builds the analytical systems himself — five years of sell-side M&A and project finance, now designing and shipping AI platforms for investment work.

About
I spent five years on the analyst's side of deals — sell-side M&A, project finance and valuation, 50+ investment documents and 15+ financial models across industrials, real estate, fintech, insurance and agriculture. Trained at LSE and HSE.
I now run R&D at a fintech firm, where I have designed and shipped three platforms for investment analysis: a public-equities analysis system, an economic knowledge graph with supply-chain scenario analysis, and an automated due-diligence system with AML screening and M&A target sourcing. I write them myself — architecture, agents, pipelines — which is the point: a system that produces investment conclusions has to be built by someone who has had to defend one.
That is the seam I work on. The finance has to survive a risk committee and the engineering has to survive production, and neither excuses the other.

Notes from the blog and the research shelf.
- Asset Allocation of Sovereign Wealth Funds Why sovereign wealth funds hold what they hold: a case-study comparison of strategic and stabilizing commodity-backed funds — PIF, Samruk Kazyna, Alaska Permanent Fund and SOFAZ — showing that asset allocation follows fund type, and that the widely cited home bias disappears once type is accounted for.
- Combining direction and volatility forecasts of stock market returns A regime-switching GARCH-MIDAS model in which the market state is predicted from macroeconomic variables, with non-linear duration dependence and a new rule for identifying bull and bear regimes.
- Colophon: how this site is built A static site generated by about seven hundred lines of Python with no dependencies, dressed as an instrument holding paper, and served as files by Caddy on the same small server as the news feed.

- World Economy Graph The global economy as a knowledge graph: query supply-chain dependencies, simulate geopolitical shocks, and trace second-order effects before they are consensus.
- DLFY Neuroinvest Nine AI tools for retail investors: a committee of digital analysts that argues about a stock, portfolio diagnostics, guru tracking, and filtered news.
- Dossier Online Counterparty risk checked in minutes: twelve official registries, two hundred parameters, and a plain-language conclusion with a score instead of a matrix of raw data.
